What's up with my item?

I'm pretty much a newb, so I'm very picky at the items I do have. One of which, is a Normal unique sword called, Kinmel's Awl Giant Sword. The stats on battle.net says it should have +6 to Holy Fire, but mine is only +2. I thought this item was hacked, but it's been in my inventory for a long while. If it were hacked, it should have disappeared by now right? My question is, what's wrong with my sword? I checked the stats, it doesn't say Holy Fire varies from 2-6.

yes it does varie i got a +3 with my lvl 11 barb

Well then, if I craft my Normal unique sword into an expectional one with my cube, will it change the magical stats into better ones, or just increase the swords quality and damage?

it'll only increase the sword quality and dmg. upgrading doesn't effect the stats
