Whats the deal with Spoofing game names?

Ive seen 2-3 users using a spoof trick on there games, but once in the game the game name is blank, and your not really connected to battle.net anymore?
I'll look around for more info, but you lads know anything?

i use to knwo how to do it but i cant remember anymore

theres no need to want it, im pretty sure its detectable which means it = ban

it makes you disconnect with the hope your ghost stays in the game= easy pk, especially in hc

You just open up Diablo II.exe or the Loader.exe or whatever the file you use to load the game, and edit it with a Hex Editor. Type in the game name, than open it, than search for the game name, than change it accordingly. Not advisable as it is very detectable and will earn you an instant ban.
