Whats the best char to start out with?

im just starting D2 again lol.. after i quit back in .08 or .09 with the white rings and stuff.. well just found the cd deep inside my closet and im starting to play again and im wondering what character is the best to start out with? any suggestions? and like name the build so i can go snooping around for it ;] thanks you guys. BF ROCKS :]

when i started playing lod a few months ago i started with a mf sorc the gear is fairly easy to get and i reckon is a good choice to start you off

Two chars that are easy to start off with: Windrid, and Blizz sorc

The basic setup for both I've made a guide for in the newbies only section. Check it out, and decide what you are willing to do from there.

Definately Blizzard Sorceress. Even with crappy gear, you can do a tremendous amount of cold damage if you max all the synergies for Blizzard and play smart.

From there, you can MF with her and work your way from there.

great help thanks guys. blizz sorc it is lol.. it used to be frost orb or whatever.

Frozen Orb doesn't have as many synergies as Blizzard does. You could get 400-500 orb damage with crappy gear on average next to 5,000-6,000 damage with Blizzard on average (Or mayvbe even more! ) with crappy gear.
