First of all, have you played BOTH? Saying you like D2 without having played WoW, and leveling your char as much as you have on D2 would probably be the only way to judge one over the other.

Personally I had a level 53 Paladin before I had to move around from house to house, and lost my account due to inactivity. After having played both, I favor WoW over the lack of (or far less) exploits and hacks.

No trade hack to worry about, and Blizzard takes an active role on preventing any from becoming widespread. WoW is their largest money-maker. If people begin quitting the game over hacks, they're going to make sure they're getting their +$15/month from every person they can.

+1 vote for WoW from a former 53 Pally on D2, and 54 Priest on WoW.

I don't think it's a contest. D2 isn't an MMORPG. And it's much older then WoW. You need 2 nearly equal games to compare in the same catagory.

and i hate it.... chunky lookin guyz, a bunch of menus, huge worlds that i dont where the heck im goin (played for a week and quit)

You're right, D2 won;t compete with WoW, because WoW is out of D2's league, monthly fee's are for losers with no life who spend enough on WoW a year to the point where you could get a new videogame every month. Play D2 it's free, it's better, it's free, and it's free.

Im thinking that the OP had the question "Which game would you spend more time on and enjoy it". D2 means infinite baal runs to look like the person standing next to you. In WoW, there are literally thousands of hours waiting for you w/o having to farm a spot.

Oh and WoW will always be better with one word: "Battlegrounds".

Gameplay wise I'd much rather play D2 simply because it appeals to me more, yes I have played it a bit more and it's free, despite the hacks, there are easily avoidable. Overal in the general field of pc gaming WoW is a much greater success than D2 has ever been. It's larger, allows for a wider integration of players and has most certainly has grossed a lot more money than D2.

Well I played WoW for 15 days went straight back to FF11 but it ownzorz!!!1noeoene. D2 anyday better graphics less hacks as Cort said and more place you can go to well in D2 act1-5 and a cow lvl....... WoW>D2.

everone i know has used the hacks and its not fun nemore the lvls suck the graphics suck penis dry. and 15 dollars a month is not much for a really fun ass game. u can a shit load of chacaters customize ur look duel ne one u want. have a shit load of spells. wut more could u want?

o i forgot u get a character to lvl 30 u could sell it for 200 bucks on playerauctions.com lvl 60 with a shit load of things at least $$$$$$$$$$500 i'm talkin money bitch. 20 bucks for a sword on d2 or 300 for a charater which only takes a month or 2.
