If somehow, you found out that a well known BF member had died?
(nobody has..)

Like say I died, and Swooper told you (since he lives in same state) what would be your reaction?

Just think of it as any popular member here at BF..

I have no idea what I'd think..

Technically, most of you are all my friends, and if one of you died, it'd be the same thing as a real life friend dying..

I'd probably be sad for a while..and miss the person's posting, etc.

What about you guys?

me, personally. I dont really know anyone too much. But I could get to know everyone, and then of course I'd be sad if someone died. But if they died tomorrow, and I didn't know them well, I'd be less sympathetic.

I would mourn over them for sure. I feel very close to the members here. That is why they call it a community correct? I've always fealt very close to departed wheather I've none them personaly or not.

I would probably try to keep there memory alive some how. Maybe a special signature. I spend alot time at the forums, and would appreciate it if someone notified you guys that I had passed, and miss you all!

In my Shangra-la you will all have eternal happiness!

If I died, people would know. Thats just becuase 80% of DbDs active users live near me and would post about it, then FlyinScrew would either post it on here, or tell Teddy and he would post it on here.

It was a very good move and generous move when they made thread. It is amazing on how someone you only know by text can have an effect like that.

Me depending on who it is, I would feel bad for the family and I maybe would sad but I would move on. I mean if you think about it, people die all the time in forums just not in a way you think. Some really good people become inactive which makes them pretty much dead to you, as they have nothing but a name on the forums.

I remember when Sardaukar died I was really effected, even though I had only seen a few of his (very smart) posts. It was creepy that he had posted something regarding his death only a week before he actually died... Ten bux says posting in this thread is bad luck (;)).

It'd definitely be painful to see a member of the forums leave us in such a fashion, but I dunno... it's not the same as real people, you know? Maybe I just don't know anyone on the forums that well.

Most likely there has been. A zero poster has most likely died? Would any of us be directly affected? No, we don't know them, they contributed nothing, they just came by and went right back out. If it was someone who I usually talk to or respect then I would miss them but if it's someone I never knew how can I grieve? Getting all distrought over someone I don't know seems awkward and unreasonable.

I try to stay away from developing online friends. It would just interfere with real life.

I wouldn't be saddened at all if someone I only knew died. After all, it could be a hoax knowing the internet.

well i dont have any friends here, but i would still be sad if someone died cause that would be someone that i probably talk to... but the real question is... would anyone care if nostalgia died? (not to curse him or anything but..) yea, well i would probably care because he is one of the greatest annoyinces in BF, but the only reason i really would care is becuase thats kinda ****ed up if someone dies and no one gives a flying shit..
