What should my merc be using?

I have him using a stormguard Exec, a Smoke Karken shell (885 def), and a Cheesy +2 barb/+6 LL Coronet atm. Im thinking of giving him a Lightsaber for the lightning absorb, a Vamp Gaze for the LL and dmg reducers (when I get one), and at 85 I am thinking my Eth Glad's bane, what do you think?

Merc doesnt damage items, so Eth is ideal for all merc items...
