What should I socket Immortals with?

I just got immortal helm and maul for a lidless wall. Is that a good trade? (I was the one who traded lidless for immortals..)

Ok anyways, I am going to be a singer/whirwind barb and what should I socket the immortals with?

I guess it was a good trade. It all depends on your situation what to socket with. If you need life, put P Rubies in the helm, and Ios in the maul. If you need resists, Um runes in the helm and +resist jewels in the maul. You could always put some enhanced damage or ias jewels in them too.
