What makes someone crazy?

Is it thoughts? Actions? Way of life? What they choose to say or believe in?

I fear losing my sanity. But I am not sure what constitutes sanity. If I've ever had it (speaking within the past 5 years). If anyone ever truely has it.

Is it something you can lose in the first place or is it like a homosexual thing, sanities timeline is half of one's life expectancy.

One of my favorite lines from Edgar Allen Poe.... "When a lunatic seems to be perfectly sane, its hightime to put him in a straightjacket."

I think having a semi-healthy fear of losing your sanity is honestly a good thing. It shows you have rational thinking to worry about losing something vital to your ability to remain self-sufficient.

As far as what causes it, I'm pretty sure just being a woman automatically classifies you as insane at least once a month until mid/late 40s.
