What is the Best Race to use?

I've been calling her that since we started going out, and she's played StarCraft before. I live in Massachusetts...

Personally I'm tied between Terran and Protoss. Protoss have insane hit points, and I can't get enough of the High Templar, however Terran have such a wide range of units, spellcasters, and special abilities, on top of the fact that turrets can be built anywhere without the use of pylons or creep =)

I think its balanced enough. Zerg may have an advantage because all the other races have to vary their builds after whatever the zerg is making, but there really is no best race...

Terran doesn't have to change builds. M&M SV & Light tanks is all you need.

But if the zerg makes more lurkers u need more tanks, if he makes more guards u need more vessels, if he makes more hydras or mutas u need more M&M, if he makes lings u need firebats etc. The zerg, on the other hand, can make almost anything because he can change builds much faster than the terran.

It always depends on the map for me. If its a low low resource map, terran, mid resource protoss or terran, or high resource protoss or zerg.

itz not always about what kind of units combination can kill what etc etc. some guys can have firebats and still lose to zealots. as long as u make sure u dun lose as fast as ur enemy does then u're good

EMP doesn't really make that big a difference, and if u waste money on making it the enemy will be able to out-produce u and kill u before u have enough vessels. I only make vessels if he makes a lot of DTs, and of course i research EMP if i make them. I have said it before and i will say it again: There is no best race.

Agreed. Charon Boosters are very handy when vsing BCs and Carriers. You don't need to get so close and won't die as easily.

Cliffed carriers were hard to counter in starcraft original, because u need to tech to wraiths and that takes much more time than getting golls.
