What is the best Map

I just want to ask this question, who likes what map. Perhaps we can discuss strategies on different maps.

I for one like the lost temple. Nothing better, specially for terrans.

My favorite map is between LT and Neo Vortex.

LT is the most used melee/ladder map, i also think it's the best map!

Okay most peple like lost temple, lets start talking tqactics for it, such as my fav, M&M droping.

lsot temle is good for actal games

but for a bit of fun, lan parties etc.

hunters is the best

LT is more professional

M&M drops r sooo much fun. Specially on zerg bases. Since M&M works well against zerg

Btw. who has finished all campaigns? no cheats. so far, ive dont all toss lvls except last one. Ive also done all terran lvls (ez!). And im up to lvl 3 on zerg!

I cleared all of the regular SC campaigns in one night, but then I got Broodwar and I haven't tried those missions yet.

A good tatic for LT is DT/Reaver drop with some Scouts, it works best against Terran becuase naturally they'll lift their buildings to get away from the 2 strongest units in the game, then you can use the Scouts to make waste of the flying building.

Also when I say DT and Reavers are the strongest units in the game, I'm not saying their the best, but they do the most damage either with or witout upgrades. DT does 40 without upgrades abnd 49 with and Reaver does somewhere around 100 I think.

Reaver does 100 damage w/splash. Then with the scarab damage upgrade, it does 125 dmg w/splash

Reavers are one of the several units later in the game which can turn M&M inside out... basically, it will kill several marines with one hit.

I havent finished the expansion zerg missions yet, i think ill do that sometime...

LT is a good map... well, for most non-money map players.

I did say versing zerg didnt i???

Never use M&M vsing protoss. They are too weak for large assaults. You could drop them on mineral patches. Cheap & nasty!

It is better to get an extra tank than to research stim packs. A 4-vulture drop or a vulture sneak is just as efficient vs probes as M&M.

Agreed. Vultures rock against Protoss! Why do they deal like half their damage & not full. Versing specific units??

There are more than one type of damage and armor in starcraft:

Concussive: Deals 25% damage to units with heavy armor, 50% damage to units of medium armor and 100% damage to units with light armor.
Explosive: Deals 50% damage to units with light armor, 75% damage to units with medium armor and 100% damage to units with heavy armor.
Normal: Deals 100% damage to all units.

A vulture deals concussive damage, so it deals only 25% damage to dragoons because they have heavy armor.

Hydras have explosive damage so they deal 50% damage to marines. Zerg has lurkers tho, so the reason marines own vs zerg is because of their mobility.
