What is good ww dmg for barbs?

Hi im new to the forums. It took a while to get here. First I mixed up those letters about a 100 times. B 8 they look the same!. Then i find i used the wrong email (twice) and then i keep refreshing until i realized it went to the bulk folder. And now i found out i sold my soul to battle forums. Well Ill stop talking about this.

Back on topic of diablo 2. I just re-equppied my barb. My friends barb did 7k dmg so i though ill try to get same gear because 7k isnt bad(is it?). But im having some trouble But first i will tell you im only wearing 2 things Fort+ebotdz.

Well this is my friends gear as of now.
Helm arreats
Ammy Angelic wings
Weapon ebotdcb (39x ed)
shield Stormshield
boots Gore riders
gloves steelrends (39%)
belt dungos
rings: 2 angelic/1 angelic+raven frost
Armor Fortitude sacred armor

My gear so far is 395 ebotdz+fortitude dusk shroud

Im really excited to see my gear when i hit lvl 69 and its a whopping 4k! (i dont really think its great) I dont get it we basically have the same dmg gear on. Does strength help dmg greatly? He atleast has 100 str more than me.
Also what is good ww dmg for a pvp barb? (enigma) Im disappointed. I just sold his gear but i still have enough to afford him back. Any reason as to why my dmg is so crappy compared to his?? Btw I did max axe mastery
Also im thinking of using beats+ebotdz good idear no? yes?

i thought barbs usually used that one that gives freeze aura "Last Wish" or botd, that looks like the right items and always go for minimum strength for your items

if you dont got resist just use maras plus 2 perf ravenfrosts
plus all the life scs you can get ur hands on/anni/torch

and i dont understand your last question, is that "Beast"

If you are concerned about damage, and not so much defense (damage red.) then you should go with a pheonix shield. You should get a merc that gives you some added damage as well, the "gives concentration" weapon would be a strong choice when equipping your merc.

when you uses axes on a barb always go double axe. if you're making bvb use ebotd cb. average bvb damage is around 6k. My barb has 5k right now but he uses 2 axes. one of which is grief.

Thnx for the replies and yes i meant to say beast+ebotdz I would use cb but my sword barb was my first char so his stats are messed up. I cant afford to use phenoix and scince i dont have stat points for max block i think i 400+ ebotdz would be better. Also with greif i doubt i can buy one. And the holy freeze aura is from Doom i belive.

life at 75..with bo my barb had 4.5k

i just made a barb last week hes 87 and he does 7.7k wirl wind and 9.4 beserk

and 391 pheonix monarc

hes got 10.3 k atack rating
hes got a lvl 37 bo and shout alternitive weps are 2 war cry javs a soj and a +3 war cry ammy for the skill boost and i have a act 2 nm offense merc and i do 11k besker and 9.6 ww
