What do you think about a Bf mod?

I could change alot of uniques to peoples names and the mods on em too.I can change skills up some,change drops,change mosters,change bosses,cube recipies, and anything i can think of.

If this is an ok idea i need more idea to put in.For the uniques i need things like make an armor that "Trojan Man's Protection" or KittieKitty claws for asns.
If we go through with it and you guys want different town set ups ill need help.

If this idea is stupid ill just forget it.

thats a good idea,better than plain d2 sounds and pics.How does it get into diablo?Dll or somthing?I was planning on having this mod as a direct txt.

I need unique names and maybe mods to the item.Like x42's spamage.it cast alot of skills on hit because he post alot.remeber when cota banned ppl,make that have like rest in peace with other few mods and renimate(if those 2 can be on same item) because he came back with a mess of accs.i want the mods to kinda reflect how they are on the forums.

I could try to get "happy candies" in the mod.I think those are what they were called,some one made them up along time ago in chit chat,might have been mr.wippy

Its a good idea, but we need some people to help you build the mpq files, unless you can do that on your own (I think it would take tons of time). I don't have time to work on this project because my school is going to start in a few days and I'll have tons to do. Anyways, I support the project and I wish you good luck

well editing consists of pulling out certain text files and using excel or a special editing program to changing things,it is somewhat easy to change so i leave it in direct txt form doing this also lets you leave the orginal patch.mpq untouched so you just have 2 short cuts one with the -direct -txt and they other is your normal d2 for bnet.We could recombine the files into an mpq but i like leaveing the orginal patch.mpq intact.

The only problem with working together is we all will have differnt txt file (and there are a good # of them,theres one for monster,mon ai,mon anequip,skills, items, uniques, sets and some more)with differnet editing.we would need a place for a master copy.then you can take it and edit it on your own.then if it is a good job we can check it then replace the master.

As for the editing i renamed the etheral edge to etheral edgee (and i tried to change the tablestringEx) and forced bloodraven to drop them just to see if it would work.well i got it all done and it was "An evil force" instead of the name with an extra e.
Any one with editing knowlege know the process?though the edamage mod i changed worked.

On a plus not i got tomes up to 500.runes and gems in stores.playing around with haveing 100 shadow masters follow you around
tell me anything with skills you want me to try.aside for picutre/animation editing.

I was also thinking about a backwards mod, like dieing gives you exp....so i set it to 10% and i tested it at lvl 6,well i was lvl 99 after dieing lol

did you edit the tables (.tbl files)? You can open them with Darkstorm's Table Editor

yea i went in and added an extra e on the eth edge.i tested again with raven and another evil force axe.
