That doesnt matter anyone who looks at graphics over gameplay and storyline is not a gamer and never should say they are i mean High quality graphics arent bad but when you put it in the rating of a game your a dumbass. I look at the games like this

40%Gameplay 40% Storyline 10% Resources like what people who like the same kinda game I do and 10% on the graphics as long as there in the genereations graphics minimum like not shitty pretty detailed its ok.

How do I rate games?

If they want me to continue to play them, then they're good.
If they become boring and monotanous, then they suck.

A good example of games that want me to continue to play. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance; FFXII; Star Ocean Till The End Of Time.

A good example of games that want me to kill myself. Hoshigama: Ruining Blue Earth; Grandia III (well, not until the very end boss battle, which is ****ing impossible unless you've actually spent time leveling your chars, which is really ****ing annoying because you can kill all the bosses right up to him without having one party member die); Call of Duty 3's single player missions.

FFXII sucked ****ing balls seriously I mean if you liked that game please gimme good Explanation heres my look on the game.

1 You never really knew what was going on, to me you were walking around with a really weak storyline and very stupid battle system different from turntaking witch is gay. none of your chars were badasses. not like you have to have a game but you want an I.E. (Auron From FFX) to make the game a little funny/cool. everyone looked gay and you had to level up so much it was retarded and a terrible storyline omg got to save princess deedeedee no like twist curves or anything all the judges were cake dropping like flys and everyone could use the same ****ing weapon witch was ****ing gay no one was completely WHM or BLM everyone was in your choice witch I thought was very stupid. my Rate on game 5/10 only reason why I played 30 HRS of it was to try to get the Masamune.

The main things I look for, in order;

-Replay Value
--If I can beat a game in less then twelve hours non-stop, back to the store it goes!
---There are some exceptions to this, but I don't feel like explaining them.

-Story Line
--If a game's story grabs my attention, BIG plus there!
---If it is shit, I stop playing right then.

-Gameplay
--Being a hardcore RTS player, RTS games own, I don't care if the graphics are the worst ever and the story is pure bile, I'll still play the damn game!
---For FPS/TPS and RPGs, my standards are a lot higher.

-Graphics
--Graphics can be a major plus if done right. Back in the day, StarCraft's cinematic movie graphics were TOP of the line, and it was more of them that got me hooked on SC then the other stuff.
---Games like GTA, they should be much better, but you can't expect much from RockStar Games now can you?

In any event, I'll play just about any game at least once all the way through. If I like it, I'll keep playing it, if I don't like it, I uninstall that thing fast and move on to the next game(or fall back on a SC).

Mainly the story and structure of the game: How well the story is written, how it develops. The reasons HL is one of the best games ever is because the story doesn't develop through cinematics. It's an FPS from start to finish. The story is pretty decent, but the structure of the story is ****ing amazing. That's also the appeal of the sidescroller I think. Even if there's no story at all, I'll play a sidescroller because the structure of the game as a whole serves the game. You can blow shit up without caring why if it's done right.

If I look at graphics at all, its's more from a graphic design standpoint: How well the interface is designed. Is the interface intuitive and easy to use? Does it place enough emphasis on gameplay? Other than that I don't care much about graphics.
