Well...most hosts that are cheap have unlimited file size limit, you just aren't going to get much space for cheap. E-mail Ebay.God and ask him about his hosting thing.

dont just look at price when your looking for a domain. Some domain venders are shitheads and thier usability sucks. Like they wont provide DNS servers... or shit like that. Make sure it suits you, and by that i mean... get what you pay for... get a well known place like godaddy or namecheap (namecheap also comes with video tutorials)

as for hosting... the "unlimited" plans arent always that great. Sure they claim they have unlimited, but they pack thier servers full of people and the server loads are extreme and become laggy.

look around for the best deals.

fast... you dont need that. you just need to have a fast upload connection.

My server specs: (kinda shitty atm)

300 mhz pII
256 mb memory
16 gig hd space

connection:
3 mb/s downloads
30kb/s uplods (****ING COMCAST BLOWS)

i run windows 2k3 enterprise :rolleyes with PHP installed. its alot easier to run the php module on windows than the .asp on apache.

edit: if you think your going to have downloads on your server, you need at least a 200+ kb/s uploads on your connection. Especially if you leave your server on and your gaming. (lags to hell)

edit2: If you cable provider has a "buisness" plan (comcast has "comcast pro") then get that, usually will have more ip's more upload and more download bandwidth

I'm surprised you didn't go into your thing about IIS :D

I have my computer set up for serving as well as gaming right now...but I don't serve global, only over LAN so it only gets bad when there are about 1000+ people there. (It has happened before...)

I use Appserve, it's pretty good for beginners, but I still haven't learned how to make it broadcast the website...so my knowledge in that won't help you much :unsure

oh if you plan on using PHP, i suggest using a non-windows server, even if you arent using PHP. i get ticked off when im on windows/unix servers, because when i was hosted under one, i couldnt have upload scripts, basicly anything that required CHMOD to 0777. i suggest linux based operating system for your server
