A new(im guessing) private hack is out. It happened to my neighboor about 5 minutes ago... I was over at his house using his computer to play D2(his far supasses mine in graphics) and i went to trade with another person...

BEFORE the person put up the items he had, Diablo 2 minimized, closed all programs EXCEPT D2, and started configuring his system files... His computer crashed, we restarted it, and it had a ton of unneeded things and his account password is no longer the same...

Seriously, take caution, flame away if you dont believe me, but dont cry to me when it happens

he downloaded something like a trojan. Also there is a new glitch in IE and unless your security settings are set on the highest then all you have to do is LOOK at a webpage and it executes any file the hacker wants.

that's not a "new glitch", there are several different means of exploiting IE to run code - which have existed for a long time.

As said though, trojan or similair...

....i didnt DOWNLOAD anything... all i did was just open the trade screen and then d2 minimized... plus, he had his virus scanner on, i think.

Virus scanners are a joke when it comes to trojan. A trojan (unless its a known one) looks just like any program that connects to a host or what not. They do nothing suspicious but execute code like any other program. It is hard to detect, expecially home made ones. If YOU didnt download it then your neighbor obviously did before you got there. There is no hack that can just change your pw and minimize d2 and do all that shyt through diablo 2. There was a trojan on his machine, no doubt.
