People, this is a warning about a certain charcter on closed b-net, just recently (few days ago) my account (soulreaver121) was stole on battle.net, i am not new to the game so i know the tricks but i have never seen this one... some how, he hacked into my comp, (i downloaded no files) and stole my account information, all i did was... he was spamming b-net about a free ith bow, i said ok i need that, he says, go to channel 112211, so i said sure, he tellss me to go to game sowrdinyou1//1 , i go in the game, and just as the door is opened in the load page, my screen starts to (spaz out) go all shaky and discoulored, and i go back to windows page and diablo i s closed.... so i click back onto diablo shortcut.. try to logback onto battle.net but when i type in my pass it says *** invalid password** .... so i create a new account go on battle.net and whisper *soulreaver121, (my ould account) and i say what the hell did u just do? he says to me u stuiped fag u deserved it,, so i whispered him again wtf, how the hell did u accomplish that i have never seen it done before,, then he says watch this,, so i waited a few seconds ,,,, then a window on my comp pops up and says ..... u have been disconected from battl.net, so to warn u, he may be able to do this to anyone sooo beware of account names

i think he was sending packets or some shit..... i heard about somthing like it a while ago but i dint believe it either

Actually there is an elite few who can just steal your account by you joining a game with them.

I believe it was sold on ebay but thats all I know about it. I could try to dig up in my memory what the hell it was.

Okay from what I remember. This guy on West (I forgot his name)

Made a program that calculates player IDs when you join a game (as in a full ID) and he can somehow block and resend that other players ID when they join a game. Thats all I remember.

when u play on bnet u and all the other players are on the same server. If u are an expert at programming u can make progs that can retrieve information from that server. When u join a game blizzard knows ur ip (so it can connect to you). He can go through the server to your computer and get anyhting he wants from port 6112 (something like that). he can put whatever he wants on your comp and u r screwed. thx for tellin us bout the guy though - ill watch out for him.

lol why would you even bother in the first place about the ith bow and yes i kina think you deserved it....if you know the tricks..why evne bother thinkin you'd get a free ith bow...some ppl aren't that generous
