Warcraft III Demo

Hello everyone,

I'm new to this board, and new to warcraft.

I (still) only have the demo of warcraft III, because I want to become a bit good at it before buying the full version.

The problem is I LOSE all the time. :doh
So, I was wondering if you have any tips for me.

This is the deal with Warcraft III demo, in case you don't know:

ALWAYS:
1 VS. 1
Orc vs Orc
Only 1 Hero: the Farseer

Also I've read that you could buy stuff. Well, not with the demo.
And you can't build a "voodoo lounge" whatever that may be.
Another problem with the demo is: I can't save replays, nor watch them from experienced players.

So... am I doomed?

Help is much appreciated.

Just buy WC, then start practicing there, demos suck!~

But I can't afford it right now.

I'll have to settle with the free demo for a while.

Far Seer has 4 spells. Chain Lighting to smoke close units, Far Sight to spot units, Wolves to summon wolves to fight, and Earthquake to damage thier building.

Doi what N_ said, demos only show small factors. You need to realy be swift with other races against other races.

I will buy it, and probably get better after that.

But isn't there any strategy I could try with the demo?

They get shot down, by a huge amount of towers! :hbut

if you go on bnet with actual game, you wont be seeing muchof those towers.

Its called Catapults with Wvyern and Grunt Support. Nuff said

ask your parents for some money >.<, by playing the demo either it is a waste of time or teach you something that differs, cause when you get the real one it will be different from the demo and then you get owned or keep practicing something wrong but, you could also transfer the skills easier cause you know what is what.

Demo or no demo i say creeping is the key if u dont no wat dat is it means u go kill monsters and get gold, EVERY GAME that i have played where sum one took all the creeps(monsters) i lost and it seems in game where i get all the creeps first i win o and also get a second gold mining operation goin it helps even wen ur main base is lost the peons or peasants or w/e can be used to run off in random parts of the map and build stuff so they dont win, rlly pisses them off, ive won many games like dat

Until they build air and start scouring the map. Then you are screwed! If you want to take a ground approach to the attack, go Grunts, Headhunters, both casters, and raiders. That should do it. If they have air, use Raiders to snare them to the ground and hh to kill them. Always have healing wards and use stun traps on the enemy.

Download it and play single player without cheating.

Single player for RoC is crap. They make Raiders heavy armor to prevent easy base leveling, and they don't account for magic damage into the equation. Its good to get your basics going. When you get Frozen Throne, you will learn HOW TO play the game correctly. Then you can crush any noobs that stand against you, or fall trying .
