Warcraft 3 error

Every time i try to play warcraft 3, I start the game and it goes through the blizzard logo and the begining cinema. Then when it tries to launch the game it gets a critical error that reads:
"This application has entcountered a critical error:

FATAL ERROR!

Program: C:\Program Files\WarcraftIII\war3.exe
Exception: 0xC0000005(ACCESS_VIOLATION) at 001B:0306A6A8

The instruction at '0x0306A6A8' referenced memory at '0x0306A6A8'. The memory could not be 'read'."

I would really apreciate it if someone could tell what the problem is and how to fix it or get around it.

ok thw way to fix the problem involves many tools and 3 steps.

tools you'll need:
-mallot (sledge hammer)
-money

Steps
1. Take your computer into an open area and begin to hammer it until its a piece of scrap at your feet
2. Take your WC3 CD and hammer it into tiny bits
3. with the equipment labled ''money" go into an electronics store and buy a new computer and WC3 game

sorry for being silly, im just really tired today.

I cant really help with your problem, because i never got that problem. Ask people in the WC section of the site, maybe they might be abke to help

i have to same prob, but just sometimes....its prob your RAM, how much you have?

that problem is due to your sound card, you most likely have an onboard Soundmax card..... you need to download patch for it... the patch is available at blizzards website...
http://www.blizzard.com/support search for warcraft 3/soundmax... it will show you the file to download....
