Yes, the ladder system for WC3 is great. If starcraft had that ladder system, Starcraft would easily be the best blizzard game.

sc does have ladder, its just corrupted....

You hit the nail on the head. In all seriousness, Total Annihilation (an RTS made before starcraft), beats the pants off of all of these modern ones. TA just didn't have the editor that blizzard provides for its games or the "battle.net" that blizzard has.

There is no question that Total Annihilation would have been better than Starcraft and Warcraft 3 if it had had those two things. I can't wait for the sequel.
