War movies

im having my friends over and watching dvds all night. the guys and i like war movies with drama..can you guys suggest any really good war movies that you have seen in the past and make you somewhat sad?

Theres Full Metal Jacket, a decent vietnam movie. I know a few older war movies also.

[glow=red]I saw that movie. Yeah its kind of cool, i was sad about the fat guy who got shot. Still german version of Stalingrad pwns it, so does Enemy at the Gates. And i also love a russian WW2 seioes "unkown parallel" its good, you got russians, you got germans, you got snipers, you got blood and dead people, and you got a heroic "FOR MOTHERLAND" yell.[/glow]

Cold mountain and pearl harbor are more of love stories, though there is some action.

Enemy at the gates is good. So is the Patriot. So is windtalkers. U571 is great. Tora tora tora is a decent one about pearl harbor that is more action, but a little older
