Sounds like a video card clash. What are your specs?

AMD Athlon 64 3000+
2x 512 DDR400 PC3200 ram
ATI Radeon 9600XT Pro (Overclocked)
120gb hardrive
Asus K8V Deluxe mobo

I think i fix the problem, i had all my video settings on high now there all on medium, but I dont understand, my video card should be able to handle them.
I think I narrowed it down to the spell animation graphic...
I also switched form 800x600 to 1024x768 32bit color

Set your AGP speed to 4x or 8x but turn OFF!! fast writes. Fast writes may cause a overclock in your VGA card which leads to a black screen of death. Either that or you have a lack of power from your PSU. Many things solve the problem, another suggestion is to post what troubleshooting techinques you tried to stop this problem. We can limit your answer to sumthing simple ^_^
