Naw I would get a 9600XT over the 9800se, unless that one can be softmoded into a 9800.

Well the 256bit one can *if your lucky* be softmoded into a 9800+pro. Wich would kill a 9600XT. If you have time to save... upping you budget to 200$ and buy a 9800Pro(MAKE SURE IT SAYS 256bit).

Yeah, i was thinking the 9800 Pro, then Sicloan showed me that i can change a 9800 to a 9800 Pro, but i cant find any 9800s that arent SE, cuz SE sucks because it is stripped down.. If I cant find it, then im going to go 9800Pro 256-bit.

Just get the 9800Pro 256bit then. That way if you have a nice stable core/mem you can softmod it into and 9800 XT :).

Like most of the people here, go with the 9800 PRO. Don't get the SE version. It's a gamble. Yes there's a high chance of softmodding it to a Pro but why not just pay $40 more to get the REAL version of it?

ATI Radeons 9600 or better are suggested, but get them off the internet so you do not have to pay like $250+ (CDN) and realize you could have got it for like 90-100 dollars less.
