okokok, this has happened 2 times. what happens is that something happens to my video card and makes it put colors all over my screen. last time i just sent my card in and they sent me another one. but now its happened again. how can i make it so i can prevent it from making these colors come up again for the rest of my computer's life?

It might not be your video card. You use a CRT or LCD monitor? If its a CRT monitor, do you have any speakers around your screen, or any other electronics with magnetic fields?

Sounds like artifacts. Its probaly overheating; if its overclocked set it back to defaults, if its not you may want to install some fans.

i ahve 4 fans hooked up, and i cant get a screenshot. i know its my video card for sure, so its not my moniter. so it mite be heat, but i doubt it a lot, considering i have it in my basement, where its cold and i have 4 fans. you think it mite just be the quality of my video card?

how can you not get a screen shot? when its screweed up just press print screen. Try to make it happen again. And if you can figure out whats causing the problems, then maybe you can isolate it and find out exactly whats doing it. Its more than likely a faulty connection or a bad monitor.

I think I know why..... Try hooking on your monitor (wear gloves) but make the connection half-on - the colours start screwing up.

In that case, check all your connections.
