There is Teran hero named Guy Montag who is a firebat (duh)

Also, there is a firefighter in a book called Faherinheit 451 that starts fires. His name is Guy Montag. Is this a coincidence or on purpose...

Actually I believe it was Blizzard programmers having fun with some creative licensing.
I remember reading an article I think at the Blizzard site about this.
It listed nearly all the characters, and who they were inspired by.

blizzard takes a lot of pleasure when putting final touches on games, thats why the units say funny stuff,

like the archer: "I said a bow string, not a G.. Ugh, nevermind"

All of SC's ideas seems to be taken from the Alien movies and the Predator movies. Watch Alien 2, and Predator, and you will understand. E.g: A line from Alien 2: "How do i get out of this chicken sh|t outfit." Ringing a bell?

Star Wars takes from Starcraft too. Look at the green bug when Anikan and Padme are in that big stadium and they're about to get eaten. The big bug looks exactly like a hydralisk. Except its green and has a few different amount of legs. But...
