Well, in all the time I've been here I have never seen a thread about vegetarians and being so this topic is a gold mine and the arcane sanc needs a new thread now, I figure, what the hell. Personally, I think vegetarians can quit complaining, yeah sure, don't eat meat but don't impose your crap on us. If you think killing animals is wrong, then go and stop all the other carnivores killing animals out there. It's survival of the fittest out there, wow were civilised, so what? I just want the same rights as a maggot without PETA groups and animals activists moaning about it.

If they sacrificed everything they would still do something wrong, moan to us about it.

My school had some people come over to tell us about eating healthy. They said that our intestines weren't built for eating meat, and that carnivores, like wolves, had a powerful hydrochloric acid in their intestines that kill the bacteria on meat well.

I think that vegetarians shouldn't be forcing their vegetarian ideals onto us but nearly all the vegetarians I've met don't force their ideals on us. Only the animal's rights activists and groups like PETA do that crap. They have the right to do those things so just let them.

I love vegetarians...... especially on toast. ;)

Seriously tho, I really don't have a problem with them. Sure groups like PETA are bloody insane, but they don't make up the majority of veggie-people. I personally don't agree with them, but that's no reason why they can't have their own opinion.

God put animals on this planet for us to eat and survive. I know you all have seen some commercial about it on MTV. It says "Behind Closed Doors". I don't agree how these animals are killed but I do think that these animals are here for our needs.

I met many veggi's, for a SHORT period i tried to be one, which may sound insane but it was alful you couldnt even have a sweet becuase it had jelatean(sp) in it. I personally hated it, you got looks at you when you went to pick up a veggi burger ect . Food taste so much nicer with meat in it. I beleive you can have a opinion but just please dont tell me about it, i dont want to hear it.

Urm, heres a good idea (meaning it wern't from me but I'll dig up an funny article about it later). For every animal you don't eat I'll EAT THREE!!!! ~maddox. I think its stupid, you just can't get the nutrients that oyu need from a vegi diet. The food tatses like shit, vegitarians are killing animals anyway (one way or another).

If they think it's unmoral then what about all them other animals that just happen to be carnivores? There isn't really a good arguemnt for being a vegitaran. If you feel it's a really bad thing to do, then don't do it but why do they care about what we do?

I always thought PETA was really funny. Every time they make the news I get a good laugh. That is not to say that I don't respect them, I do, I just happen to be entertained by their methods for the most part.

You actually can get proper nutrition from a vegetarian diet. Some of the food is pretty good actually. I know because my sister is a vegetarian.

Just because other animals eat meat to survive is no reason for a person not to be able to choose their diet as they see fit. By your argument I could say that some animals eat only vegetation so there is no reason to eat meat.

I have yet to meet one of these extreme in your face omnivore hating vegetarians that you speak of, but I have met a few regular vegetarians. I respect the rights of these people to have their opinions. If they don't respect my opinions then I laugh at them.

DO YOU PEOPLE BRING GOD INTO EVERYTHING!??!?!

HAHA! My invisible man that I worship is on my side! TAKE THAT! Your opinions are nothing against the imagined word of my creator!

And yeah, I happen to agree with gedrin, except on the food being good part. Soy milk is good and all, but steak owns all, sorry.

Im Sorry i dont particulary like veggi's but my friend is one and he said to me that "we, as a species should be smart enough to see the benerfit from a nutrietent veggi diet, but some of us are still stuck in the stone age." i replied to this by saving **** YOU!! this is exactly what i mean i get this every time i spend a night there and get a burger put on my plate. We all hear messages like this in our dayly life and me personally im sick of it. I dont see any benifits from a veggi diet beside there are more animals for the other carnivors to eat. Stone age, rofl there must of been millions of scienctists who ate meat and there were alot smarter then anyone ive ever met, including veggitariens! Nuts but True!

You just can't get more nutrition out of a vegetarian diet than a mixed meat/veg one. I like some of the salads ect but when they try to subsitute meat with vegi burgers eww. If they hate the idea of killing animals why do they try to make vegi burgers look like meat.
Just because other animals eat meat to survive is no reason for a person not to be able to choose their diet as they see fit
You're missing my point, I DO NOT CARE ABOUT THIER DIET. I just want them to stop moaning about ours.
By your argument I could say that some animals eat only vegetation so there is no reason to eat meat.
Nononono. My argument is if a maggot can eat meat then I can, not if a maggot eats meat then thats what everyone has to eat because there is no reason to eat anything else.

Same here, but a lot of people go vegi to say "wow I'm so noble" and everytime you have a meal near them they keep bringing up the contents of thier meal and how you should switch to being a vegetarian.

i pretty much agree with 100% of the things ORC just said but heres another point brought by maddox.

why do vegetarians feel they are morally superior when in fact, they are supporting the killing of millions of field animals a year by eating vegetables. sure we kill animals too but we make good use of it and we dont act to be "morally superior"

Well, because there are no arguments against what I said I'll bring this up. If every one in America was a vegitarian there would only be half the amount of vegetables consumed because the meat industry consumes the most amount (they need loads for the animals, beef ect.). But they are still responsible for the animals that were killed while havesting the vegis they eat. So if you want to have a clear concience you'll have to grow potatoes in your own back garden but what about your shoes? O well I want leather shoes screw my beliefs!

That makes sense, right...does anyone know what the appendix is for? if you dont, its what most herbavores use to digest vegitables, its an absolute requirement. Yet, we can have that taken out. so really, if we were meant to only eat veggis we would need our appendix

I think that veggiterreans have more gas than people who have a normal diet.

i mean look a beans..... a plant ; basicly anything that has a plant cell wall, which makes it harder for your stomach to diegest.

i dunno im just trying to give this thread a little more spice.... or rather something to ponder on
