We do not need vB3 to function, I believe. As Theroy said, vB3 is still in beta testing, and the last thing we need is a bug to crash the server again.

BF has survived on vB2.3.4 for quite some time, and I doubt there will be an upgrade soon, because it will be a pain to install any hacks that we installed later.

I think installing a game arcade would be a very cool feature for battleforums. When you are bored, you can waste away trying to get the highest score on "hit the penguin with a club".

The forum will probibly not be upgrading until we really have to, since an upgrade to 3.0.0 would make all of our current skins obsolete and to tell you the truth upgrading the forum would take tons of time and could possibly trigger more server problems, which is simply not worth the few improvements we would have.

Also, even if we could install a hack like this it would be unlikely for us to do so. With the current server, running games in addition to the forum would just bog us down even more. And even if that wasn't an issue, you should know that any hack we install now is done very carefully and has to undergo a sort of 'trial' for a few weeks where we make sure its not having any negitive effects on the server whatsoever, as we just can't risk another fiasco like we had a few months back. In the future, if we get a much more stable server and are more confident with its ability to handle lots of large hacks, things like this would be an option, but without that this hack is something we'll have to do without.

He's close enough.

As Theroy said on AIM to be, vB3 is still in beta testing with its Release Candidate releases. I would really like to see how the hacks react on a separate server so anything can be debugged if needed.

I already sent a pm to CrookedFoot yesterday. He said that the arcade was on his list of things to do, but he doesn't know when they would actaully be done.

Upgrading to vB3.0.0 will do nothing to your skins makin gthem obsolete wise, but going to the RC3, RC4, they no longer use .style formats but .xml. The hack was tested wtih vB3.0.0, and would do no harm to your skins. But once again, it is very wise to test the hack for debuging options, such as running the same .style's with vb3 (not rc3) and other things. Using the same .style skins, it will take little to no work upgrading...hack wise, as the hacks edit the template files, as well as the hard scripts (php).
