Using bots on open-bnet??

Hello,

I wanna get used to the bots b4 I use them on my Battle Net account.

Is it possible to setup the bot to work in open battle net?

heh, i wanted to get the ani-gif but figured ill just keep this one till then.

Thanks for the reply. I have been away from D2 for almost 5 months so I lost all my characters.. Which is a shame, I had some really good items for my lvl72 assasin.

Anyway,
Time to get back to d2 lod and get my sorc (lvl 11 at the moment) through normal ..

I am actually starting to get lazy...

I will prolly end up looking for a bot to run through act 1 and just kill things to lvl up.. heh

The bots you're used to seeing are made with the assumption that you want to play battle.net, and it'll take a little work to coax them into playing open battle.net.

Just pick a good one and test it on bnet, if you don't do anything stupid you'll be fine.

I found a way todo it.

Actually, I have also been working on building my own bot that will stay on act 1 and just kill things to lvl up. This will be good for the times that I am trying to get my characters started.. but till then.....

What I did was use a hero editor and edit my character to lvl 73 and give it 15 on all skills.. Anway, I start up diablo2 and goto the login screen for openBNet. Startup the loader, and it takes over..

Been running for the past 8 hours and actually finding a bunch of cool stuff..

My bnet-east- sorc is lvl21 and i just made it to act3.. so I got more work todo..
