Upgradeing weapons question

I was wondering if there is any cube reciepe to upgrade a socketed (black lettering) "normal item" or "exceptional item" to an "elite weapon" i have a 5os eth partizan and want to upgrade it to a cryptic axe, is there anyway to do this?

I know u can upgrade rare and uniques, any help would be appreciated.

I looked and didnt see anything for upgrading normal items only rare and unique, if i missed something please let me know if there is a way that i just overlooked

if you didn't find it on the arreat summit, there itsn't going to be a formula for it, sorry.

what he wants to know is that if he has a nice weapon with stats already on it (superior w/ sockets) can he take that exceptional item and upgrade it to an elite version of it and have it still have the superior w/ sockets stats.

I tried a Fal-Um-P saph (formula for exceptional to elite rare weapons) but didnt work

once i get a pul rune ill try the other formula for uniq wps to see if it works

Lum-Pul-P emerald (formula for exceptional to elite unique weapons) any one try this before on a socketed item before (black lettering)?

If that dont work i guess there is no way to upgrade socketed items

there is NO way to upgrade a normal, socketed, or magic item. i've tried. unless blizzard adds a new patch with a new formula thats sole purpose is to upgrade one of those types of items, your not going to be able to do that.

once, again, there is no way to upgrade socketed items.
