Up grade mercs? plllllllzzzzz

ok i know that a merc is a different class of chari but because ther a merc WHY IN THE HELL CAN THEY NOT USE CLASS ITEMS. :angry
i mean look at the iron wolf he should be able to use a pali shield
or the roug using a am bow
and the other guy ( cant rember there name) he should be able to use any spear/ pike or jav

could any one perhaps help this along?

one more thing does any one know if ther is an EVIL looking sword in the game kind of like in WC3 frostmorne but not frostmorne some thing that looks EVIL like it

they have no skills so what would + what ever to skills help them?

Act5 merc can use Arreat ^^

Wing, you naab! They do too have skills. Rogue's have that defence lowering zon skill, and cold/fire arrows. Act 2 mercernaries have auras, and the jab skill. Act 3 mercenaries have sorceress skills, and act 5 barbarians have stun/bash skills. So, + Skills do help your mercenary in the skills he/she employs.

Iron Wolf = Sorceror from Diablo, so that's a whole different class.
Rogue = Rogue from Diablo, again, another class.
A2 mercs are a class of their own, so they can't use zon spears.
Barbarian mercs, as everyone knows, already can use barb items.

Dident know the some of the mercs was like chars from D1 .. But now u say it, i can see it

so if you get a +3 bash 3os barb helm and make it delerium, would his bash be much stronger (+5 bash)

also can a mercinary transform into a doll (with delerium)

i doubt a merc can transform into a doll, but i guess its possible...considering all stats from items go onto the merc....never thought about it

i guess it would =/
