Undead building order/ strategy

im a noob so caution with this one:
crypt, 2 ziggs, 5 ghouls, altar, hero, graveyard, more ziggs, temple, slaughterhouse, sacrificial pit, frost wyrms......

it's:

alter, zig, crypt, 2 acolytes.

graveyard, 3 ghouls, another zig.

crypt(for mass ghouls) and more ghouls and 2 more zigs.

hall of dead ghoul upgrade.

black citadel ghoul upgrade.

im not the best online, but this what i do

1.crypt ; zig ; alter ; to acolytes (waypoint to mine)

2.graveyard ; 2 ghouls (waypoint to neerest tree) ; DK ; halls

3. (while halls is upgrading) 3 ghouls ; upgrade ghoul ARMOR (ghoul attack raises it by too little to be worth anything your money at start) ; zig ; get cannibalize ; go creep at expo (make sure you creep with all 5 ghouls, and have 200 wood when you go)

4. (once halls is done) make DL ; research ghoul armor lvl2 ; 2 ghouls (stay in wood) ; 1 acolyte ; zig ; temple ; citadel


At this point it varies.

By doing this, i get 2 heros early, with DK, DL, and 5 ghouls, i can creep alomost anywhere on the map ez, once my zig is done, i can make either more ghouls or necros, and i get GF pretty fast


No, like i said, i consider myself good, but not exeptionnal. This strat has served me well, but if anybody sees big flaws in this plz let me know. thx

Build order, hm....

(NOTE:NEVER LEAVE ACOLYTES UNOCCUPIED! They should always be either creating buildings, gathering gold, or waiting for a gold mine to be created. After ordering an Acolyte to create a building, hold SHIFT and right-click on the gold mine to have it automatically return to its mining.)
· Send Acolytes and the Ghoul to gather
· Queue two Acolytes and waypoint to mine
· Create a Crypt and create a waypoint to a tree
· Wait a couple seconds, make an Altar and create waypoint wherever desired
· Create two Ziggurats
· Crypt finishes, create a Ghoul and queue a second
· When Ziggurat is finished, create Dread Lord or Death Knight
· While hero is being made, keep making Ghouls
· Hero should pop out when you have 4-5 ghouls. Pick the Sleep skill with the Dread Lord or Death Coil for Death Knight
· Hotkey your hero and ghouls (together or separately) and find low-level creeps to kill
· As your units head off, research Cannibalize (if you have Death Knight this may not be needed yet) and upgrade the Necropolis to Halls of the Dead. When Cannibalize finishes, continue creating Ghouls.
· Create Graveyard
· Create a second Crypt
· While creeping, ALWAYS micromanage your units--if a Ghoul is getting attacked then move it when its health is low but before it dies. If you have Death Knight, cast Death Coil on it and send it back in, otherwise wait until all nearby enemies are dead and use Cannibalize to regain health.
· Once Graveyard finishes, have Ghouls gather near it if necessary
· Once second Crypt finishes, create Ghouls from it (Ghouls should be created from the first Crypt as well)
· Create a Black Citadel as soon as possible
· As soon as possible after Black Citadel is created, make a second hero (Death Knight or Dread Lord preferrably)
· Send more Ghouls with hero(s) when possible. You should creep with about 10 Ghouls.
· Expand when possible. Create both a Gold Mine and a Necropolis at the expansion.
· Create a couple Acolytes at your Black Citadel and rally them to your new Gold Mine, and an Acolyte to take the spot of the one that moved to create the expansion (unless he is already gathering)
· Upgrade non-melee unit attack then armor
· While upgrades progress, create Gargoyles
· Create two Temple of the Damned
· Continue creeping and upgrading and creating Gargoyles
· Once the temples finish, research Adept Training and Skeletal Longevity.
· Once the temples finish researching, have one temple research Master Training and have the other create Necromancers. Do not create Skeleton Warriors to fight creeps unless necessary, you must save the energy for your opponents.
· Once the second temple finishes researching, create Necromancers from it. You should now be creating Gargoyles from two Crypts, Necromancers from two Temple of the Damned, and be upgrading the Gargoyles from your Graveyard.
· Once you have 6-12 Gargoyles, about a dozen Ghouls, and about a dozen Necromancers (can vary), turn Autocast on the Necromancers and charge the enemy. Hotkey your Gargoyles and heroes to the same key (to ensure that the Gargoyles do not take any wrong paths to the enemy), Ghouls to a second and Necromancers to a fourth and attack.
· Upon enemy encounter at this point (in attack or defense), cast Cripple on any heroes and large units (such as Frost Wyrms, Abominations, Knights, etc.). Keep the Necromancers attacking behind the Gargoyles and Ghouls to keep them out of harm. Have the Gargoyles target air units if needed, and micr0manage the Ghouls and Gargoyles to keep them alive as long as possible. Also use Sleep and Death Coil on enemy heroes if needed. If weak enemy units are in a line, go alongside them and cast Carrion Swarm to damage as many of them as possible.

That's a basic strategy that's easy to follow. Always remember:

1) ALWAYS micromanage units that are low on health if possible
2) ALwAYS keep all your Acolytes busy unless they are waiting to harvest Gold
3) Never leave Necromancer Autocast on near your Graveyards (you'll lose all your enemy creating needless skeletons, just press R if it's needed)
4) Always make sure at least one of your heroes has a Town Portal. If your town is attacked while you are creeping this can mean the difference between life and death. This is also why you create a Necropolis at your expansion--otherwise you are open to one of the Undead's weaknesses. Keep the hero(s) with the Town Portal alive or you may lose a needed escape route.
5) Revive your heroes as soon as possible
6) Always be sure you are creating units (if you have the money, of course) and make sure you have enough Ziggurats to support your army (make sure you create a Ziggurat when the food is at least 4 before the current limit)
7) Kill as many creeps as possible. The stronger your heroes are, the easier your victory will be. Level 6 heroes are ideal.
8) If you plan to use the Death Knight's Revive skill, try to use it near where strong units such as Abominations, Knights, etc. have died.

Well, I think that's about it... hope this helps.
