as a general rule you can obtain an um using this trade formula for ladder:

You Offer | You Receive
Pul + Lem = UM
Pul + Pul = UM
Mal = UM + Pul
Ist = UM + Mal
Any HR = UM + Ist Ist

*HR is high rune, Vex and above.

Do hell baal runs with your pickit enabled (if the new patch still has pickit)
you should level your character up while having a high chance to find um or anything that may be worth an um.

Do some rushes for Forge, Hell Cows, Trade some items. If your a bit on the poor side, gather all the gems you can, and trade 40+ p gems. Some people need them for transmute recipes and will trade. (not sure if this works on 1.11 but it did for 1.10)

Check the monster levels in the worldstone chamber. Im sure it exceeds the level requirement necessary for an Um rune to drop.
I've gotten El-Sur runes in Baal runes plus rainbow facets which I've traded for Um's.

same here dude i once was keying and i got a key but never found um but i once got um from hell forge^_^ but never from countess i always depended on countess for the keys which i would trade but i didnt get nemore and i gave the one too my friend

Its hard, any monster that can drop magic items is capable of dropping this. But its not like the first 10 runes where you can easily get them if a rune type item is dropped. Dream_walker used to collect runes on Countess Runs, why don't you try those?

Do forge rushes for nm fast easy and an um rune comes from those, after 5 times you do it the runes u get will be worth an um.

Nm/hell forge got a slight chance to drop one... Countress on hell got a chance to drop too ... If you are ladder, do Hell Countress runs, and Upgrade all the runes you find... then you can upgrade to an Um..
