Uber Bosses=Cake walk?

Is it just me or are the new uber bosses a complete and total failure? You can solo each boss, you can solo trist by pulling Meph off first then tanking Baal and Diablo at the same time. Maybe even tank all three bosses at once, just not sure with the conviction aura. Shouldnt this have been harder than a 81 Paladin soloing the whole thing?

Well, that's one of the nice things about Diablo. You always have the option of making it harder on yourself. Like... can you solo trist with a non-Pally? Can you do it on HC? Without BO, chant, etc? Without a merc or godly items? You get the idea.

But yeah, for a game that seems to want to balance itself and shift the focus more on teamwork, they made Uber Trist way too "easy" for Pally's.

Sure on HC it might be hard and you need to watch yourself a little more, but where I live now the latency is way too high to even think of trying HC. But when a Paladin without the godly gear or runewords can solo that place at 81, I just expected more from Blizz.

Yeah, I was hoping they would have such an assortment of monsters that you would need a very well-rounded team to beat them.

What kind of Pally anyway? Stats/skills/gear?

Is it really that easy? I have a couple pairs of keys but just havent used them yet....I have an 88 Hammerdin with HOTO/CTA,enigma,hoZ/ss,mara ammy,shako..Maxed out Hammers,Blessed Aim,Concentration,Vigor, and Holy Shield almost maxed....but wasnt sure how hard those bosses really were :-\

Try doing dclone with a naked hammerdin without dieing once, heh i did 5k with a bunch of pcombs and a torch, but the account was old and havent used it for 90 days, but that char was like lvl 96

Well I understand Conviction working for you. But I prefer you seperate Mephy, then smite off the others. Taking all 3 on at once could probably kill you, and also you will need to find a way to get your corpse back without having to leave the game and come back.

He DID separate Meph 1st, then kill the others. That's how he solo'd them. He's saying he doesn't know if he can take D & Baal while Meph's conviction aura is on him. Not that his pally was using conviction.

You could probably destroy them if you brought allies and they used sorcery and you had Conviction. As for Mephy's conviction, you might as well destroy him fast! Having - resistances against 2 guys and minions that use elemental attacks isn't necessarily a good thing .

Hellwolf, I'd love to know if that would work... but I play east hcl and haven't seen ANYONE enter other than pallys and barbs (and make it out alive, that is).

Actually, as far as the Minions go, their immunities are unbreakable, even with conviction + lower resist. :doh

But if blizzard made it harder.. what is the Chance that u can do it with a Non Smiter? did U even try to do it with a sorc ? come back and tell it was easy when you soloed them with a sorc, amazon, necro, assa, barb, druid... Then you can say that its a piece of cake.. Cus it Really Quickly become a Pain in the ass when you are trying to use Elemenatal attacks..

The difficulty with another class is a moot point, besides the fact that I am willing to bet that any melee class with the right attack speed and life tap could possibly solo it, It just might take forever and a day to complete. It doesn't matter what way you look at this, upside down, left or sideways, I don't think it should be that easy for any class. I don't have the urge to roll another character to fight them especially after this weekend (CoH, Ber, Ist, 4 D keys quite a few other runes victims to a R/D or poofing), but I will take my FoH paladin in there when he is done and my MF sorc to see what happens although I know I will get beat down. You can tank all three at once btw, just got to get that first life tap off and you are fine and now that he has a Grief....:bugeyes

Thats because its not as effective against them if thier resistances are abouve 100%. The conviction would only make life easier on the bosses.

A Smiter or a hammerdin will have a better chance of survival against the ubers.
