Twinks the new WOW fad?

Seriously, all I hear about on my new alt, who is lvl 18 is twinks. Is that what is popular now, come on I thought the point of the game was end game raids, and getting to max lvl.

Well not to sound to hippocritical I tried it, its boring and overrated in pvp.

What do you guys think?

Twinks have been around for a long time. They start to thin out once you get into the 40-49 bracket, but that's just the way it is i'm afraid.

They're something to do when you're not raiding honestly. It's a lost-cost way of killing stuff over and over, and being overpowered against un-twinked people your level.

It's usually more fun when you're with groups of friends, but I've gotta admit, critting Mages for 500 on my twink Shaman, when they've only got 600-900hp is pretty ****ing hilarious to me.

twinks are lame in bgs. Cort claims that twinks make bgs fair because if everyone twinks out their chars you're winning based on skill, not on who has the best items...

except that some of us play bgs to take a break from questing, and are sick of getting one shotted by whoever dumped the most gold into their twink.

I get on my twink to smash shit, or test my skills, not have fair fights against people that haven't put time and money into them. It's a stress reliever, and ****ing hell I'm really starting to miss it.

I've got my twink parked in STV collecting the chest tokens for my trinket. Can't PvP on her for awhile.

I know that but it seems just recently that everyone is doing it, there are even guilds based around it.

I have a 19 twink UD rogue. I love him. I'm not fully twinked, I only have like 1400 life and i have duel fiery cruel barbs. And some of you have seen my screeny of 50kb vs 5 deaths. I could afford shadowfang/assassins but i choose not to. i could go for +15 agility x2 and or w/ 1 crusader but what's the point. I can still 1 on 1 other twinks w/ 1800 life and those enchants. I don't even have either of the fishing rewards nor the trinket. It presents a little of a challenge and its a nice change of pace from 70 bg's and doing heroics which are lame. I can't stand instances, i play wow for pvp.
