i just got this 37 inch hd lcd blah blah, and im confrazzled about how to get the most out of my cable experience...the analog RF cable leaves the cable box, and goes into my tv.....BUT it says to increase quality you can use s-video, or those blue yellow and red or something component, OR for the ultimate cable you can use the HDMI....

now...to be able to get cable to your tv you have to use the analog RF....but if thats the case whats the point of plugging in the s-video, or hdmi....WTF im so confused...someone help me

Contact the store where you bought it from and see if they can help.

i dont know **** but feel like posting
gotcha...ok to get good picture, u need an hdmi cable. To get actual HD channels(at least from satellite) you need a new receiver or cable box. heres an example of an hd receiver for cable. expensive? yes. worth it? probably.

Listen dude, if I had a problem with a TV that I just bought I most certainly would contact the place where I bought it from and ask if they could assist. If they couldn't assist me I most likely would look elsewhere to buy something. Knowing the product you sell and how it works is part of doing good business.

Edit: I also like how you couldn't find where he said he got it at wal-mart.

lol i did buy it from walmart....we got it for super cheap, like 300 bucks cheap.....but neway...its not walmarts job to tell me how to get the most out of my cable, its the cable companys job, but they charge for everything, including technical support.....i basically want to know why you would use svideo and that other ****, if you HAVE to hook up the analog cable cord to get cable to your tv....whats the point of that other **** then??

Still if you are going to buy anything high-tech in the future I suggest you go to a place that knows how it works TV & Cable company and all.

Edit: LMAO at you buying a TV from wal-mart.

if you've ever watch a blu-ray dvd on a 52 1080 plasma, you will instantly jizz your panties...i swear it, it loses all cinematic feel, cause its so crisp

it sucks though because there are a lot of bluray movies that don't look too terribly different.

if you have an hd player, i highly, HIGHLY recommend getting netflix.
