Triggers help

unprotecting

I want to know how to put doodads like installation floor guns in an outdoor map like I see all the time.
And black and dark green colors for teams.
One map even had a rap song play at the beginning and another had old WW2 rifle fire sounds every time a city was taken.

I tried looking in the maps, but they won't open
How do I get these? I know these questions seem pretty simple to most players, but i am sort of a newbie.

I've made maps triggers like, choose 1 of 6 characters and you get 5 lives, but that other stuff baffles me.

I've downloaded a few utilities, i might check em out, but other than some simple triggers i am clueless.
Can anyone help me?

mind being more specific then just SCXE
Traps/doors-SCMDraft/Starcraft Xtra Editor/SCM Tool Kit
differnt team colors-SCMDraft/GuEdit/SCM Toolkit

You CAN use the unprotector, but that would just piss off me, and a bunch of other people around here.
So i wont tell u were to get one.

Changed the title to triggers help, moved to UMS forum.

No unprotectors allowed.

On staredit, there's a column in the left that you get to choose which units and stuff to place on the map.
If you were to get Starcraft X-tra Editor, there's another option that lets you place doodads.
Guedit, or ScmToolkit(best for colors) canchange the players colors to black etc.

wow, i didnt know it was that long ago since i asked for that crap..
i have all the editors and a bunch of utilities i use now..
I didnt say anything about unprotecting.. you guys all did lol
the maps i couldnt open i knew they were protected...

i also have the ultimate map unprotector hasnt been beaten yet and it can unprotect any current map First letter O I wont say anymore obviously but i only use it for seeing how ppl did stuff. oh and the good scripters used many comments and that seems to mess with it a little since it removes comments on some maps but not all so they cant be edited and saved

but thanks for the info.. its weird i have had sc since like 1999, i already had these programs.. then i took some years off from sc and forgot about the programs
it doesnt take a genuis, you just have to be able to navigate the program like scxe or forge or draft to find.. square terrain , odd colors and the like

anyways..
my questions is this
i know i can make a leaderbaord with kills, or custom..
i dont understand i am using custom, but it wont add up the kills
i have a seperate trigger for
IF cp kills 1 men
THEN add 1 custom
preserve
and i am using a death counter ..so it shows 0 of 30 to next level.. then i want it to add points for each killl.. then at 30 i want the leaderboard to say 30 of 65 to next level but i cant figure out how to add up the kills they arent going on the custom board even using that trigger..
and i cant get the leaderboard to change
Is there any way to remove a leaderboard and make a new one? mid game? multiple leaderboards but show each of them at idff times using a death trig?
man this is bothering me.. cuz i can use death counters and switches to do some tricky stuff but i am baffled with this .. lol its prolly some little thing i am screwing up or fogetting

i actually unprotected a certain rpg to see how this works.. but man it is well scripted.. i think there is some weird things going on with his leaderboards and stuff cuz it says stuff like...
display leaderboard for most custom. Display label .spell

... and the label is odd text, One of the units in his map is named .spell
so in display label he typed .spell
how the hell did he get it so show level 25... level 50 and so on on the game screen if he has label as a unit name typed in?

W00ooTTtt been long @ss time since last post!

Usually you use killls of men ext.. not custom kills to add up points. Custom could be for buildings and shlit. Also i find it is a good thing to have starcraft x_tra editor for building placment and ttriggers, while starforge is good for terrain (if you want it to be square). I will post a map you can take a look at here in a few minutes (im not at home) that uses custom kills.

***just as a side note***
my computer seams to unprotect everymap i open in starcraft e_xtra editor. maybee becuase it is a custom made job...(i made it myself, im so happy:D )
BUt if you are to use xtra editor and starforge dont import any music into it intill you are ready to luanch it on the internet it seems that everyonce in a while it will delete the sounds and give you an error like "cant open C:/starcraft/maps/mapname for writing" when you saveit but no worries it does save just without the sounds so you have to re import.:rofl2

ok i found out how to do what i meant.. looking at a protected map of course
its pretty simple, i was on the right track.. but a little off
here is what i meant...


Force/Player: Computer
IF: Current Player has suffered at least 1 deaths of ling
THEN: Modify death counts for Current Player: Subtract 1 for ling
Modify score for Players/Allies/Force1 ect.: Add 1 custom
preserve
Comment: (I need 1 of these for each enemy unit in the game we kill)
(by the way i inserted the subtract 1 ling from death counter ... for future peurposes.. but i may scrap it)

Force/Player: Allies/AllHumanPlayers
IF: Current Player custom score is at least 0
THEN: Show Leaderboard for most custom. Display label: of 30 to next level
Disable use of comps in leaderboard calculations

Force/Player: Allies/AllHumanPlayers
IF: Current Player custom score is at least 30
THEN: Show Leaderboard for most custom. Display label: of 65 to next level
Disable use of comps in leaderboard calculations

...this will add up all kills and put it on the custom leaderboard.. for all players to have shared experience.. then at 30 kill syou level up and a new leaderboard shows with the next level..65

the kills add up slower then you actually kill the lings..
and i have hypers in(5 triggers of always wait 0 ms 63 times and 1 preserve for a nuetral with no wait commands)
but they add up prefectly 30 lings killed 30 customs.. if i use a splash unit it might not work as you know but im not using splash.. i hate ally games were you kill close together and someone has a bat,archon,reaver ect.

as far as that one protected maps' labels on leaderboards showing typed in names of units .. but in game shows of 60 to next lvl/of 100 next lvl... it is strange and it has something to do with the file extension .chk i think...? oh well.. i assume he did some crazy stuff in the event his map was unprotected and i have no problem with that. I got my shared exp custom leaderboard to work for each levelup im happy:)

i just thought of something
on my last post use exactly not at least on custom is 30.. custom is 65

on most rpgs, like the one i am trying to emulate, as you level up each enemy gives you less exp.. so at level 1 they may give you.. say.. 30 exp.. but at level 2 the exact enemy may give you 13 since you leveled up

here is how you do that..

First off on my last post say i added 30 custom for each kill instead of 1

Force allies/goodguys/humanplayers
IF Current Player custom score is exactly 30
THEN: Modify death count for nuetral: add 1 LVL(UNIT/datadisc/mineralchunk) add 1
Show Leaderboard for most custom. Display label: of 65 to next level
Disable use of comps in leaderboard calculations
preserve
Comment(this wil make a LVL counter so next the enemies killed trigger will know your at the next level. )

Force:comp
IF: comp suffer 1 death of ling
and death count is 1 for nuetral LVL unit
THEN: Modify score for players/allies/humansplayers ect.: add 13 custom
