Judgeing on your question about the mass attack I'm going to guess your making a madness map.

To spawn units only for current players make sure the trigger that creates them is owned by the player it is created for.
==Madness==
Players:
-Player 1
Conditions:
-Always
Actions:
-Create one marine for Player 1 at location base
-Preserve Trigger
====

For your mass attack you need to think about a few factors. Mainly just the following...
-Terrain Layout: (can the battle feild be defined by one location that excludes the beacon section)
-Units you want to attack: All units? Heros? Air? just the mass units?

If you want ALL units to attack with your mass attack then you might have problems with your controler unit (commonly a civ)
The unit might fall subject to the attack itself and try to run off.
The easyest way to prevent this Is to have a location over your battle area that excludes your mass attack and heros sections.(if possable) and order just the men at that location to attack. ==Mass Attack==
Players:
-Force 1
Conditions:
-Current player brings at least one civ to location "attack blue"
Actions:
-Order All men at "battle feild" to attack "blue base"
-Move Civ owned by current player at "attack blue" to "mass respawn"
-Preserve Trigger
====
You might have a bunch of units you want to exclude from the attack. You can do this two ways.
1. Specifiy only the units you want to attack in your order action
2. Stop the units you don't want to attack with other actions.
I'll give an example of the second one.
==Mass Attack==
Players:
-Force 1
Conditions:
-Current player brings at least one civ to location "attack blue"
Actions:
-Give all "hero dude 1" owned by current player to "extra comp"
-Order All men at anywhere to attack "blue base"
-Give all "hero dude 1" owned by "extra comp" to current player"
-Move Civ owned by current player at "attack blue" to "mass respawn"
-Preserve Trigger
====
In the above example both the "give hero trigger" and the "move civ trigger" act as a way to prevent that unit from attacking.
-The hero will very quickly switch to a computer and back. during the time he is a computer all the units you own will be ordered to attack. Your hero will be left out here.
-The civ on the other hand is ordered to move but moved instantly after it receaves the order. So the move will override the order it receaved.

If this doens't help you need to be more specific on what you want and what your problem is.

Um, yes thats off topic, so I'll give you the key hint and leave this as an excersize for tomorrows class: P12 triggers. Due 3:00pm, 15 points max (no extra credit).

Ah god, now most of the links in the Map Making Faq Threads are broken again. Gonna have to fix it. I gotta do hw soon, but Bolt, you wrote wayyy too much, even thought I didn't even read it. But in the Map Making Faq Thread, it does say you can distribute units with the p12 units.

Well It is difficult to answer questions in short, when the questions is so broad.

Maybe I should let some one with a simple mind simply tell him how like it is THE WAY.

Assuming look-n-die does not have the Hyper trigger in a madness. Even though it's not normal to have a hyper trigger in a madness.
