Transmute Bug

There is a bug where you add sockets to an eth armor it gets more defense. I added sockets to my 700ish defense armor and it came out like 1138! :lovedup

:shoot I was gonna make an eth stone, but my armor came out with 2 sockets

Anyways... the runeword also came out low but I'm not complaining :tnt

thats awesome! if only you got a 4soc 1... would have so much defense on it...
1 Tal Rune + 1 Thul Rune + 1 Perfect Topaz + Normal Body Armor = Socketed Body Armor of same type

The base defense of the eth armor goes up when you transmute in the cube to add the socket. And from what I've heard they were trying to fix a bug that removed the eth bonus in 1.10... and instead they added more defense than it was suppose to in their fix.

I'm not sure if the bug works on shields, but I'm guessing it does. The only draw back is that the number of sockets is random when you use the cube. Very risky...


Formula for shields: 1 Tal Rune + 1 Amn Rune + 1 Perfect Ruby + Normal Shield = Socketed Shield of same type

It only works on eth items. And no they didnt nerf it i did one yestersay on nl only came out 3 soc but 1200 def on a base ornate plate. It would be good to try on a cheap pali eth shield though just to see if it works. And if it worked on like a decent eth rondache it would put the def up there with a vortex. Sumthing to think about.
