Hi ppl

Is there perhaps someone that can help me with the following:

I have lost my motherboard in my desktop pc due to a lightning strike last night. I would like to transfer my Diablo II LOD saved games from my desktop pc harddrive to my notebook.

I tried to copy the files from the c:\program files\diablo ii\saved folder to my notebook but when i strat the game, the saved games does not appear in the list.

Any ideas...

Thanx a mil..

Z..

You could try saving all your Diablo II folder... But habitually you are fine with the /saved folder... Go play on BNet :p!

There are no files in his "pwnt by lightning motehrboard" or your non "pwnt by lightning moterhboard" anyways.

"Motherboards" don't store saved games, operating systems, or any other type of "USER" data. They only have some code stored on rom chips to boot the machine up and access the "hard drive" which DOES store user data. So before you throw your entire machine in the dumpster there are a couple things you could do:

A) Install the hard drive out and a "slave drive" in another computer. (it is important to install it as a slave drive because your operating system might not boot up unless the 2 pc's were exactly the same manufacture.)

B) Have your computer checked out by a repair shop. Chances are that lightning didn't hurt anything in the computer except for the surge protection circiuts on the motherboard (unless the computer is an E-Machine/Hp/Compaq since most of the time these computers don't have any sort of surge protection.) Any reputable computer shop can either repair the motherboard or order you a replacement at a fraction of the cost of a new PC.

More than likely all your Mp3's/Saved Games/Homework/Pr0n/
Bookmarks/Emails etc. are sitting there happily waiting for you to save them.

Um.. Zeus.. your spelled your name wrong as Zues. Haha..

Also, yeah playing on B.net saves space n stuff. But if you really want your open characters take out your harddrive from the old computer and place it in a new computer. All files there should be in the new computer unless your tried electricuting the comp again. C:\Program Files\Diablo II\save is where your file should be.
