Tracking a ip??

hey does anyone know how to track an ip adress? cuz i just got this fire wall and 3 times this one ip tried 2 connect to my pc and it stood out from the rest of the cookies/ad ware and spy ware......can u help?

well what exactly do you want to do with this ip.

Did you know that there are bots on the internet that ping everyone's ip address checking for activity? its more than likely a false positive. Probably nothing major, it used to happen to me all the time. I would just ignore it.

but that might not work for your case...

if your trying to run a game, then your going to have to port forward :-/

also if you have a firewall up like norton security, you might want to shut that down.

wow you didnt read his post at all. He said someone has been trying to connect to him and his router is stopping the request and logging it.

Which really isnt a big deal because it happens all the time.

You could use an IP tracker that comes bundled with Internet security software.

There's an IP tracker that comes with McAfee Virus Scan Professional I think.

Or you can try http://www.geobytes.com/IpLocator.htm?GetLocation and find out where the attack came from.
