Tool aren't really popular here but could somebody tell me which album I should get please. I'm looking for the deepest, non-rockiest, saddest, dreamiest, best and most innovative. From all I've read they don't seem much like your average Rock group, a bit like A Perfect Circle (contains some old Tool guy), so someone fill me in please :-D I hope I'm not too far off with the adjectives I've named and the albums differ a bit so the answer won't be too general or too easy. Don't worry about 'getting into' the CD or it's 'level', I dislike most CDs on the first hear anyway and love them a few days later. Thirteenth Step by A Perfect Circle is basically a good direction for what I'm looking for by Tool. If you think all of their CDs contain these properties, which should I get anyway? I heard Lateralus was the best? Thank you. :)

If you are going for deepest, I would prolly say screw Tool and get the first A Perfect Circle album. If you want to browse through some lyrics, I host one of the top rated tool lyrics sites on google. You can visit here. That might help you decide on which is best "deep" wise.

I beg your pardon, I like both. Maynard is Maynard to me ;) APC just has that softer touch is all.
