If a machine can be built and you could take a ride on it for just one trip. Would you travel back in time and change something in your life or would you go up to the future and see what you are gonna be?

Back dude. I don't think I would want to look at the future and see that I'm dying from some crazy disease. Hahaha. At least going back I could observe where I went wrong and breathe in some feelings of nostalgia.

As for whether I would change anything...I doubt I would even want to change anything. It'll mess with the present!

If I had a time machine I would proly go to 12th grade or earlier to plan my education carefully and choose what I really like, so far 4 years of smth I find boring and I feel my time wasted, im neither interested in politics, nor in economy. This wrong decision led me to what I am now, completely degrading, not studying at all, with no clear future, everything sucks.

And I'm going to have to be "that guy" who ruins everyone's fun. Elementry timetravel theory states that is it impossible to change your own past. Even further it is very likely impossible to change the past at all, as either the timeline will always account for you being there, or you more realistically just traveled to the past of an alternate universe. It is often believed that if Timetravel did exist at all, you would always end up in an alternate universe rather than your own past, which removes the never ending number of paradoxes created by your presence in the past.

Yes I am! And this is my first post after all these years 'coz being back here is like travelling back in time. It's the same Battleforums and the same feeling the the last time I posted here but when I look at myself and look at where I am now and I could tell a lot has changed but the old BF is still fresh in me.

Well anyway, I'd wanna travel back in time too and correct some mistakes, do what I should've done and lower the regrets rate. But then again going to the future is not that bad, you'd see what you've become if you don't like it you make some changes in the present to have your future diverted. Ok I don't think I understand what I'm saying now, do you? :alcoholic:

i would go back in time with this posted on my wall starting somewhere around 500 b.c. and teach all of this to people (along with the blueprints for the time machine)

after the time machine was built and everyone knew me as the smartest/richest/and most beautiful man in the world i would travel to the future to see how my legacy had been spread, and what monuments had been build for me.
