Throwing Barb Build Question

Just a question. But can I frenzy when I throw or do I need to swing weapons at the guys?

Frenzy is melee. That should answer your question.

You can use throwing weapons to Frenzy, just not throw them. Double throw in effect is frenzy for throwing minus the r/w speed.
