Since I can't edit my post from that long ago, and the sorc went through many changes in the thread, I'm revising it here:

Stats:
Str: ~200
Dex: max block
Vit: Rest
Eng: base.

MAX Shiver Armor
MAX Enchant
MAX Fire Mastery
MAX Warmth
1 in Each mastery
1 in teleport
1 in static
1 in all synergies for the other skills
1 per pre-req

Anything else, your choice.

Archon Plate: COH
Andariel's Visage (Ral or 5/5 die fire facet)
Mara's Kaliedescope
Godly Crafted Rings with resists/leech. Ravenfrost/BK good too.
SOE
Storm Shield (P Ruby)
War Travs or WWs or Sandstorm Treks... Pretty much anything really...
Souldrains
BOTD Zerker Axe (eth)
1 Annhilius SC
Max/AR charms
FRW/life or FHR/life charms

BOTD Archon Staff with +3 to shiver armor, enchant, and TS (left in for nostalgia )

Note that your resists *should* be 75/75/75/85 in hell. If not, get a few resist scs until they are. Also rare/crafted items can be added in where necessary.

A couple of questions and comments:

SOE is...
Why a point in light mastery (aside from your awesome +3 TS from that 1337 archon staff, I'd love to see a botd of it in a game someday )
Is there a reason Kao isn't having a pissy fit on the over 200 str on a sorc build...

Aside from that, it sounds good... but a question, is there any way to use energy shield in a fashion that's good in pvp? I had an interesting idea... like, first off, energy shield SUCKS against elemental because, well, blizzard had the gay idea of making resists etc apply after it. I really REALLY hate that (you have no idea). But, maybe if you keep the level of energy shield down to say like, below 10, and only blocked like 50-60% of the damage, you could then have the other 50% go to your life, have something like nightsmoke (yes, lol, nightsmoke) for the 50% damage to mana bonus (ooohhh and the 10 resist, thats leik zomg godly), and then your shield will be like extra DR... you see the concept? I don't know the practical uses of it... it may even require taking off your +skill gear before casting energy shield. Another thing to think of is whether or not the telekinesis bonus on energy shield is applied during the casting or during it's actual use... not only that, but on that same note, are there any items with a high level telekinesis (TK)? Why? Because you could get some plus energy shield items on a weapon switch, have the TK item equipped, get some like level 33 bonus (it's such a gay skill with no practical use aside from old school scamming before the patch, it's imaginable you could get that, to achieve a 1:1 mana:life conversion rate)

Just some alternative ideas for an alternative build...

And I'm glad to see such alternative builds being developed.

This build has been done before. Even in 1.09.

Oh, and why am I not getting all pissy about 200 str on this build? It's a sorc. She needs damage and defense. Sorceresses' naturally don't have both of them, so voila. Now if you were to say 200 str on a Melee Pally, that's a different story. Next time, think things through first.

Melee sorcs get all thier damage from enchant, so it would be more or less usless to have leech, lotsa str etc.

An andy visage isn't the best thing for this sorc... a fire faceted shako is better because you don't need str and leech as stated above.

What about a +3 enchant 15% ormus?

Nothing wrong with the ammy.

A bk ring and raven is the best combo

Dungos is WAY better than string because of the possible +40 vita boost.

P-ruby in storm shield?

Treks are best.

Im a little too lazy to look at the ias breaks for a zerker but i think blood fist gloves would be helpful here (unless you got oodles of fhr scs)

A BOTD is a bad choice for this a melee sorc. Seeing as how she get all her damage from enchant, she need a fast weapon/skill to get as many hits in as possible with out getting killed. Best is the very best for this sorc because of the speed boost and getting to turn into a bear. A Passion Phase would be a second choice beacuse it give +1 to zeal and more hits= more damage.

No fire gcs?

A good staff switch is a +3 enchant +3 e-shield +3 shiver armor Memory (rune word)

Also this sorc has WAY too much str...

Hrm. This is not a cookie cutter melee sorc, and is not meant to be, which means I am specifically avoiding doom/beast/passion. Ruby is in the SS so that you end up with max resists or near so in Hell.

The switch weaps and amount of str have been debated numerous times.

Basically, this sorc is aiming for dmg more than she is for attack speed. Keep in mind when I first made this build it was really only for fun.
