This CD kicks so much ass IMO. It's not as good as their second CD but still it's pretty good. I give it a 8/10.:hat:

Anything past their first CD is terrible. Seriously, they're like one of the worst bands of our age.

Their first single from that album has the same drum beat the WHOLE way through. Uncool.

all their music sounds the same imo
they have like some distorted singing, a wisper and then the bass explodes and he yells.

QFT. I liked Linkin Park before it was cool to like them, and I still like Linkin Park after it was cool to hate them. No reason to stop listening to a band unless they toss out utter crap. (LOL @ Trivium..****ing new CD sounds like Metallisuck[sic])

Umm.... that is a terrible claim to make. There the same band singing in every song. To say they sound the same CD to CD or Song to Song is stating the obvious.

If you listen to there songs you can tell them all apart, but I mean once again they are the same band singing and same style of music in every song. I don't know what your trying to claim with that statement. I can say that about 90% of bands. Plus if you have listened there new CD has a new style also, unlike there previous. Jay-z always sounds like Jay-z. Metallica always sounds like Metallica.

I am not saying I like linkin park but your dissing the band without backing it up. Possibly a fit in diss? **** mikes opinion make your own. There there own style and thats them, they are probably one of the more successful rock/hip hop groups of our generation.

I know you're just making a point, but Metallica changed drastically over the years when they lost Cliff and when they made St.Anger (Which sucks ballz).
Yeah I knew somebody was gonna say this.

More of a sound evolution than a change. You can still tell its them.

the new Lp cd. is terrible unless you like slow music that isnt at all like LP style... as for The single of the album. What I've done. during MTV making of the video Shinoba said that they were missing something on the album and they needed one last BOOM or something to fit in. IM sorry but to me What Ive done is nothing but a filler. Its so non original. the concept has been done before. and they didnt not meet any excpectations. i give the new album 2 /10

to be honest i didnt read a single other post in this thread yet, and i hadnt read yours all the way.
lol @ the mike thing. first of all, i never said i didnt like linkin park, like i said i was listening to them all day
i really like a few of their songs, like i siad.
and I'm saying most of their songs have the same basic concept/layout musically. obviously i would expect to be able to identify the artist because it's the same people with the same style, but it seems that the only thing that really changes is the lyrics, other than that a lot of their songs are pretty ****ing similar
game.
close thread

edit: and being successful doesnt make them good artists

I still bump their first cd, and select songs from meteora, but this new cd is terrible, as was meteroa. Their first CD is bearly listenable for me anymore for anything but nostolgia.

The new CD literally sounds like an amatuer did the whole thing himself on a computer, then threw some vocals over it.

To me, Linkin Park may vary from CD to CD, but it's fairly slight. I thought the first album was decent..but since then, everything else seems like a wannabe/watered down version of their first album. It's like Linkin Park is trying to imitate how they use to be..but suck at doing it.

Actually, I think most bands/artists who are thrown in the spot-light end up doing that..because they're trying to recapture the magic that made them noticeable...it just usually fails.

On the otherhand, some artists manage to do it. Manson is one of the few (semi)mainstream bands out there that can actually entirely recreate his sound with every album. It's NEVER the same.

but yeah, Linkin Park to me sound about the same as always...but more annoying. I have to agree with gimmi on the song structure..they're basically all like that. It gets boring quick.
