The Realm series!

Before I type away about this new map, must give an update on the status of Dark Realm: A Queen's Fury. Its been put on hold, and the name will change to The Realm: A Queen's Fury. It will be the 3rd or 4th map in The Realm series of RPG maps Im makin.


Ok, Onward!


The Realm: Golden Age has been started. TR:GA is the first map in the TR series. It will basically tell the first part of the story. It will introduce the six heros and what they are capable of. You pick from the same six heros in all the maps. Those maps are as follows:

1. The Realm: Golden Age (currently being worked on)
2. The Realm: Dark Times (not yet started)
3. The Realm: A Queen's Fury (needs to be remade after 1st and 2nd maps are done)
4. The Realm: It Came From the Ashes (not yet started)
5. The Realm: The Betrayal (not yet started)
6. The Realm: King Desann's Wrath (not yet started)
7. The Realm: A King's Fury (not yet started)
8. The Realm: Lord Tavion's Castle (not yet started)
   [/list=1]All maps will be 256x256 for length and difficulty. I may add two more, don't know yet. Names may change as well, don't know yet. Ok, Things that need to be done with TR:GA...
   • Briefing (completed, having Crookedfoot and -Matrix- test it out and give me an opinion on it) - Update: Crookedfoot is rewording it a little to make it more interesting...
   • Terrain (not done)
   • Hero Settings (not done)
   • Enemy Unit Settings (not done)
   • Town placements (not done)
   • Location placements (not done)
   • Tiggers (not even touched yet)
   Ideas are welcome, just don't get angry if I don't use em. Does anyone know how to change player colors? Like change Yellow to Black... A program would be sweet, a link to it would be perfect! I also need a map protector, the best one, I don't want all those noobs F***in up my maps!

I know that SCM Toolkit can change player colors, but not recomended till final step.
And I believe StarForge does as well, if I am wrong someone please correct me.

I forgot one thing... All the maps are MP only.

'GRRR!' you say? Well... once the final map is completed, I will make copies of each map and edit them to be released as 'Special Edition Single Player Only' maps, that means you would have to contact me on AIM to get the maps, all of them will be in a zip file. This will be about 6 months after the release of the final MP map. Each SP map will still have the anti-maphack triggers, I will also figure out a way to make an anti-godmode trigger.:sly

I'm trying to deside if I want to use the square terrain in SCMDraft for TR: Lord Tavion's Castle, I'll wait till I'm done with the other maps first before I make up my mind.

Im glad to see some people want to play all of em. The main reason Im doing this is to sharpen my skillz and become the best mapmaker to hit BF, what!? I can dream cant I!? Seriously, I hope to become one of the best RPG map makers ever, at least in the top 5.

Before I changed the story around and edited areas of my ideas, I had gotten alot done on The Dark Realm: A Queen's Fury map, that will be remade to The Realm: A Queen's Fury, and shown it to -Matrix- and he said, shit, forgot what he said... -Matrix- maybe you can tell these good people, and remind me, what you said, lol.

Anyway, This will probably be my last post for some time until TA:GA is at least ready for testing, and I will ask for 6 testers, well... probably 2 since i got a few of my old friends wanting to test it first. Not to worry tho, everyone will get to play it once testing is done and its release.

Tis all for now, I'll probably drop a post every now and then to update the status of the map. later dudes!

Terrain somewhat complete. Hero Selection area complete, Spell casters spell areas complete, Anti-maphack area complete.
