The Nydus

I have been playing SC since '98.
and.... I HAVE NOT SEEN THE COMPUTER USE THE NYDUS - EVER.

Does anyone know how (if possible) to get the computer
to use the Nydus?

(im not actually at this point in my map but would like
this option if it's possible)

my Hypothesis:
use load transport or load bunker AIScript on the zerg units
near the Nydus.
(i know that using LoadTransport on Terran will actually
load a bunker if the Dropship is not nearby)

......what map? that might have something to do with it because on some maps comps are just... stupid

As for your question, I'm not sure if Insane Zerg Campaign Expansion forces them to go nydus or not. I've never seen it either, but part of the problem could be lack of creep to nydus to, or lack of sight at the location. If you're not making a melee styled map with Campaign AI, I'm not sure how to force units to use a nydus, or if it's even possible. I had to do that on a map once, and I just put a location on Nydus #1 and another location on Nydus #2. I had a trigger like

Conditions
-Computer brings at least 1 men to Nydus #1 Location.

Actions
-Move all men for Computer at Nydus #1 Location to Nydus #2 Location.
-Preserve trigger.

Then just use triggers or some such to get them to move to the location over Nydus #1. In the meantime, I'll find out if you can force units to actually use a nydus.

wow-- come to think of it i never have either--- i love usin the nydus for zerg and recall for protoss

I just checked, and there's no way to force units to go through a nydus. My suggestion is to use the trigger I described earlier.

You dah MAN!

yup... i've never seen a computer "LIFT"
cuz... well.. i think the makers did that so that it wouldn't make the
game go on longer than it has to (with the comps lifting
and running away and such)
