That is why you people are stupid. Never, NEver, NEVER buy the first or even second shipment, there is always problems. I don't know anyone who still has an original Xbox or PS2 that still works.

Only exception seems to be gamecube which I have not found anyone who has a broken one.

I got my GC the day it came out and it still runs better than ever. Minus me chewing off part of my controller...

Actually v1.0 and v1.1 xbox's are the 'best' because they have 1mb tsop's. Only problem with them is most of them had Tompson DVD Roms (which the xbox 360 has now, i cant believe they went with them again) and they were crap, they had bad lasers in them.


The problem with the 360 is the power supply is getting to hot, they should have put a fan or 2 in it, oh well...shit happens. Just put a fan on it or raise it and it will work perfectly untill microsoft gives you a new psu.

Yeah I actually find it kind of funny, I heard a lot of these people bragging about being the first and second people in town to get one, but then I can laugh when thy can't play Xbox Live against me. These things are going to be wrapped up under christmas trees and come christmas day kids aren't going to be able to play them.

yeah, supposedly the Xbox destroys dvd's too...some store put up a display with a 360, and the next day the dvd was unreadable....its actually kind of funny.

The problem with the 360, if you move a 360 that is on and reading a disk, it will scratch the disk. So basicly, to avoid ruining your disk, dont touch your 360 when your playing anything.

I got one of the first Playstation 2s released where I live and it still runs perfectly fine.

I have never had any problems with it.

Then again I don't play it as often as most people have played theirs. I am a Gamecube guy and my Gamecube is same as PS2, still runs fine.

My brother has already experience problems with his xbox 360. gotham racing 2 wouldn't work when the harddrive is attached to it. probably some conflict between the harddisk and the dvd player.

the disk isnt held in by a center peice like most cdplayers and the new ps2, so moving it around while running will scratch it.

i bought a 1.0 xbox when it first came out...returned it a couple months later when it wasnt playing cd's anymore .

just recentally, my ps1 *died* and will not read music cds or regular games.

Mine has crashed some, but not enough to kill the experience. Just turn it on its side(It wasn't actually ment to be played standing verticle) and make sure the power supply is in a cool place.
