The Football Thread

This is gonna be a thread for the upcomming NFL season. If you like football, or enjoy watching it, post here. Post your favorite teams, make comments on games, and debate about whose going to go all the way. If this become flame wars, we can get rid of it.

I think the Packers are gonna go all the way because they did very good last year, and if they didn't mess up vs. the Eagles, they would have probably won it. They will probably start slow, but Brett needs another Super Bowl victory for his last season. Packers are gonna go all the way this year.

Packers wont do that well...playoffs and thats it. Tey need a better rb, while Ahman Green is fast, he isn't going to be able to gain the yards the packers will need this year.

The Patriots are probably going to win again this year, they are turning into the 49ers of the 1980s.

i dunno, the patriots just had something most teams didnt and that was east coast offense. So it was a little hard to predict.

The Rams are crappy now, and the Eagles won't go all the way, they got lucky last year.

You don't get "lucky" in football. You think they were "lucky" enough to make it to 3 stright NFC title games!? When you add 2 superstars to a team as good as the Eagles, you only get better.

Football sucks. my precious 49er's have sucked for a long time and i doubt they'll turn around any time soon. So football sucks until the glorious day when we return to conqure. (I HAVE A JOE MONTANA AUTOGRAPHIDICIZED IMAGE OMG!)

So what... even if they do get to the super bowl.... they're only going to get demolished by the new england patriots... winning isn't based on star players... it's based on team work... at least in a game of football.

If the Patriots don't do it this year, they're not going to do it at all, they already lost Kalu, the guy that's supposed to compliment Jevon Kearse as the other DE. So there Defense really hasn't improved. So that's that.

I'm still a Buffalo Bills Fan and I will still root them on... even if we do have to play the NE pats twice every season.

Thye have Derrick Burgess to fill in for Kalu. Burgess had 6 sacks as a rookie and should do well. They also have McDougle, their first round pick last year, who should see more action this year. The D-lline will be fine without Kalu.

THEY GOT A HUGE WAD OF LUCK WHEN THE PACKERS BLEW A 4TH AND 20MAHOOJET.

I like the packers, but Favre is old, our defense sucks and Green can't carry the team so it looks like a 9-7 record and an early playoff exit or no playoffs at all. :'(
