The Ending of Metroid Prime

It confuses me a little. At the end why does Prime grab Samus and try to pull her in even though it knows it's going to die anyways? Did it possibly hope to either finish her off, or drain some of her energy and save itself? (Presuming has that ability, I've never seen it do so. It is a metroid after all, though)

Yes, but the problem is that it does still die. The fact that it did so was meaningless.

Metroid Prime, Echoes, and the soon-to-come Corruption are all in direct timeline. Actually, all the games are in a, oddly presented, timeline. It's basically a way to present a method and means of advancement in future installments.

Was it pointless from the Metroid's stand-point? Yep. Was it pointless from a developer's stand-point? Most certainly NOT!

EDIT: 3 is, officially?, Corruption...and looks...AWESOME!!

Awesome? It looks exactly the same, infact, it uses the same engine as Echoes, but possibly slightly cleaner. But, it will be neat with the Wiimote.

Dude. I have always stated I don't care about graphics. What looks awesome is the fact that the controls are more refined and you have MORE control...via the nunchuko attachment and...LEFT ARM!!
