Still, I have far more money with TBC than I ever had in the original, even after spending lots of gold leveling my engineering.

Considering that full spellfire/strike is just about as good as t5, raiding seems pointless to me.

The cape I use now is a 11spell dmg (but -21crit) +1stam/int over a lvl 63quest reward, and it's from Kara.

...i've never been in a raid, but following the posts there i guess i can pretty much say that it was done very badly. someone in blizzard mustve thought that was a great idea, and i can bet that people over there would probly wanna give that some1 a good smacking.

Well Blizzard wanted to shorten the gap between casual-player gear and hardcore-raider gear. The jump from dungeon 1 to MC gear was huge! But now it's so close that the risk vs reward just isn't worth it.

I want to raid to experience new content but i don't want to have to start farming shit (While prot specced) for hours on end just so i have enough consumables to last a raid. The amount of time and money that's being poured into consumables is just retarded. Blizzard must fix this.

I don't see the point in PvP'ing. All the warlord gear was made shitty so casual nubs wont be out-geared so easily.

I'd only PvP for a raptor mount. Getting sick of my doggy.

I PvP because it's fun. I got to 60 on my shaman pre-bc and pvp'd the whole way. I didn't even make it to exalted AV..didn't get my TUF, nothing..but it was still fun along the way. ^^;

...i see. well, poor you then. lol. but seriously, blizzard should've realized that there WILL ALWAYS be gaps between casuals and hardcores. maybe they just didnt want the new instances from TBC to be cakewalk for the hardcores...

The new TBC instances aren't a cake walk. Heroic mode will forever be a challenge and the 25mans are ****ing ridiculous. A blue poster actually stated that they thought people would have killed Magtheridon by now, but since it's actually ****ing hard (Like Gruul's Lair and Lady Vashj), no one has.

It all comes back to risk vs reward. People don't want to raid and waste hundreds of gold on consumables (Flasks, Elixirs etc) to be rewarded with gear that is only a minor upgrade on the blue quest item they got at 68.

...yeah, i get your point. what i was saying though about cakewalking was, maybe they thought making the new instances just a bit tougher wasnt enough and so they upped it thoroughly to all new ridiculous heights... probly didnt think much (or maybe they had, but not enough) about the impact its gonna have...

anyways, were just circling around the same issues.
